Research

The Brunel Centre for Health Effects of Radiological and Chemical Agents (CHRC) was established in 2017 at Brunel University, funded by the Nuclear Community Charity Fund. The Centre was set up to study the effects of ionising radiation on humans, using a multi-disciplinary approach, and is led by Dr Rhona Anderson.

The researchers are studying health and wellbeing in nuclear test veterans, living with worry, and a genetic and cytogenetic study on veterans and first-generation descendants.
